| Q. | Who is Quantum Imaging because I did not see the physician? |
| A. | Quantum Imaging is a professional group of radiologists who provide interpretations for the imaging studies that are performed at many area hospitals and outpatient centers. Our radiologists interpret imaging studies for Pinnacle Health, Holy Spirit, Evangelical, and Hanover Hospitals. Since it is not necessary for the patient to interact with the physician for many radiology exams, you may not have actually seen any of our doctors during your visit. |
| Q. | I have an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from my insurance showing they paid Evangelical Hospital, Hanover Hospital, Holy Spirit Hospital or Pinnacle Health System. It says that I have no copayment/deductible, so why are you billing me? |
| A. | There are two bills for every imaging service provided. Quantum Imaging will bill your insurance carrier for the professional interpretation, and the health system will bill your insurance carrier for the facility portion. You should receive an EOB showing how your insurance carrier processed Quantum Imaging's billing in addition to the EOB you received showing the payment to the hospital. If you do not receive this, please contact your insurance carrier. |
| Q. | Why am I mailing my payment to a PO Box in Baltimore since I had the service in PA? |
| A. | Quantum Imaging currently has a lockbox at the headquarters of the M & T Bank, which is the banking institution that handles our accounts. You are mailing your payment to the lockbox at M & T Bank in Baltimore where the bank processes your check/money order and forwards the information back to us. |
